Rubicon express long arms / frame stiffeners

Hi everyone,
Looking for some quick opinions. I am attempting to install re long arm upgrade and having a real pita with my frame stiffeners. Ground down a lot of material to get them square and really don’t want to drill through them.

What do you guys think about welding on the control arm mounts that are supposed to bolt onto the frame rails? The cross member will still be bolt on. Safe or not safe?

Thanks,
Kevin

If cross members aren't bolt on they are weld on, welding being the preferred method, but not everyone has this option, thus bolt on kits are offered. Many times the installation instructions will give mention for welding or bolting on options.

If you can still remove the cross member you'll be fine welding on your control arm bracket, especially welding on to frame stiffeners!
