steel bushing insert for UCA

Wondering if any company's make steel inserts...not necassarily a bushing insert...but a solid cylinder of steel that has the same radius as the Axle end UCA bushing on a D30. Just wondering if I can get away easier than going to a local machine shop. Thanks _nicko_

edit- idiot... the bushing size is 2.25" correct...I'll just get some solid steel bar 2.25" OD....if I can find it. Nevermind...thanks

UM...What's Wrong With Poly Control Arm Bushings?

Why steel? The work is in getting the old rubber ones out...after that, easy to slide in poly, lubed with lots of anti-seize to avoid squeeks. I'v got the poly set waiting....am I missing something? With steel at the axle end, you will get no shock absorption at that end- maybe tear or deform the body-end control arm mount easier. 4xBob

Oh, no....this is for an axle truss, not a moving control arm. You're not missing anything. thanks though.
