Replaced 92 door with 89 door, and now it doesn't line up

Got the 89 door installed completely and it fits great except it sticks out away from the body at the hinge by about an inch. It's flush with the face of the rear door, though, so I don't know how it can stick out by an inch at the hinge.

the threaded part on the door is a captured plate that's designed to move and allow adjustment-- loosen all the torx bolts a bit and give the door a push inward. It should have enough play to slide in.

Yeah, we hadn't pushed it all the way in - it was kind of stuck. Got it fixed, thanks again.
