Does anyone have a favorite brand of steering damper? I just pulled the OME piece off, and as you push or pull the piston in and out, you feel a loose spot, maybe about an inch or so, and hear it bubbling inside. It's only got 3K miles on it. I've had a Rancho, Gabriel, and a stock-type all do this same sort of thing, all with not too many miles on them. Is there a trick to preparing them prior to installation? Cycle them in and out first? Just highway use on the car, it never gets wheeled- maybe that's the problem! Thanks...Ray.
