The fan controller comanche91 used in his conversion to twin Xj E-Fans

is no longer available (Spal). I see a few that might be useful but, need some level of end-user confirmation regarding quality and durability before purchase. Can anyone help me in this regard?

Those I see are the Derale (https://derale.com/products/electric-fans/fan-controllers) and the Dakota Digital PAC-2750 (70A system, http://www.dakotadigital.com/index....t_id=852/category_id=403/mode=prod/prd852.htm)

Please only respond if you have direct positive experience with these or similar control system or know of someone that has.

Thanks!

I was very pleased with the Flex-A-Lite Variable Speed controller that I used with a Taurus fan. It really lessened the inrush current on that monster. It's definitely not inexpensive.

I am running two Derale controllers in two different vehicles. Over five years each, no failures, works fine.

Are those Derale controllers variable speed?

The cooling fans on my XJ are also Derale fans. Have worked great for more than 12 years,...a bit expensive but reliable.

These Spal PWM controllers still pop up on Ebay occasionally, both new and used. I picked up a couple of new spares just in case but have not used them as the original I installed in 2008 is still doing it's job as designed.
