XJ the lower control arm mount quesion

ok so I noticed that if I let the axle hang on my XJ the lower control arm smack the axle mount

I know this is stopping it from dropping any further... I ideas?

1.Limiting straps

2.Notch the shock mount just a little to get the extra 1/4 of a inch.

3.Leave it alone and run it

That's why on the short arm XJ I have I offset the bushings to clear it.

But you can actually trim quite a bit out of those mounts to get some more droop. You don't want it to hit before your shock or limiting straps pull taut.

I let mine self clearance when I had short arms.

Cut the things off, grind them down some or cut some off. Pretty simple. The back of that shock mount doesn't do anything, so cut it to where you want it.
