XJ was build in december, 1992. It would be strange to take the gearbox apart just to check it out.

Shipping to and from Australia is probably less than ideal.

What is the difference?

Only thing I noted was that one comes with a pilot bushing, the other doesn't.

How about contacting a dealership, giving them the VIN and asking them which side of the year break fits yours?

Thanks everyone. Yes, it makes no sense to send back. The dealer's response will take forever. The main difference is hydraulic tubes.



My mechanic told me a '93 should fit. Wish us luck.

I recommend you also order a real throwout bearing, like a Timken or SKF.

The ones that come with the kits are garbage and will fail on you suddenly and hard.

One thing that is VERY important too, is the fact that per the FSM the Flywheel has to be replaced. It should not be resurfaced.

The Flywheel has a concave face, and when machined it makes it flat. Your clutch will not last if machined (ask me how I know?).

One more thing.
