testing a coil rail

2001 xj, 4.0.

I'm trying to test the coil rail. I've seen specs ranging from .7-1.1 ohm as acceptable readings from the #2 pin to pins 1,3,4 on the rail connector. Haynes manual says .95-1.1, cherokeeforum says .7-.88.

I'm getting 1.9 across the board. I know it sounds obvious, but is that going to be within acceptable spec on a 200 ohm scale? I'm mostly curious because I'm getting the same reading at all three pins. If one pin was out of whack it would make more sense.

That sounds about right, when I was doing the research on a Viper coil.

I checked a new coil at autozone today and it tested with the same resistance 1.9 ohms across the board.
