what is happening when I see low voltage on my gage when driving in hot weather, verses cooler? what in the charging system could be temperature sensitive? 1990 XJ inline six.
1990 is Renix, so not even OBD-I. The gauge on the dash isn't overly accurate, and tends to dip when you crank up the load like turning the blower on high. You drop some voltage across the ign switch, fuses, grounds, etc. I bet the voltage at the battery is fine. Or you have a corroded up fusebox, which wouldn't be too surprising either.
