8.25 Disc Conversion

Doesnt say anything about fitting the 8.25...depends on the diameter of the hole in the backing plate. There's a guy on here who makes 8.25 conversion kits from ZJ rear disc brakes...you just have to drill/grind out the backing plate to fit the 3" axle tube.

The grinding to fit an 8.25 with ZJ kit is about .010. Easy work. Could be done with a file but a $25 die grinder with bit can do it in about 10 minutes.

I have the ZJ kit available if needed, PM me if interested. I could even do the grinding.

The ZJ swap is a piece of cake. I sell the kits pretty often for 204+shipping. I ran it on my 8.25 when I had one out back still.

I saw a thread awhile back about Crown Vic rear discs being a very easy swap.

You still have to grind out the center hole & some bracing on the back side. You also need to redrill the mounting holes. JIM.
