Rear brake bolt pattern conversion

I am currently building a waggy front axle for my XJ, and I would prefer to keep the 6X5.5 bolt pattern. I have a couple of options regarding the rear axle:
1) When I order the 33 spine axles for my XJ D44, order the axles with the 6X5.5 bolt pattern and either try to find the correct size drums off of another vehicle or do a rear disk brake conversion. I am hoping that someone might know of a donor vehicle with a 6X5.5 bolt pattern and a 10X2.5 drum to match the XJ D44 brakes.
2) I could also just use the 5X5.5 pattern on the axles with a 6X5.5 adapter.

I know that the disk conversion is probably the best option, but I was kinda hoping not to have to do the conversion. I also worry that using adapters will put excessive strain on the wheel bearings.
