It stopped working awhile back but today I took the roof liner off and hotwired the motor and bam... that works. SO the motor is not the issue.

I am trying to trouble shoot a bit more... how can I test the black box and are there any fuses elsewhere?

I took the black box apart and none of the resistors are burnt up. It looks fine.

I'm trying to bypass the switch to see if that's the issue

I shorted a cicuit and fuse in my Volkswagen awhile back. Had the same problem but then DOH I found it.

I finally found the fuse under the dash and it was blown... Works good now
