where is a good ign switched power source?

I am working on putting together a e-fan conversion and need a ignition on power source that is under the hood of my 97 XJ to use as a trigger for the relay to kick on once the Jeep is running. I heard of someone tapping the fuel pump circuit but I feel weird about messing with that one since Jeep fuel pumps are somewhat sensitive and I don't want to accidentally short it out or cause a problem with it and have to replace it. So any ideas of what I could tap into?

That was the first one I thought of but I have soo many wires running into the cab at this point I'm trying to find something I can tap under the hood in the PDC.
