Hybrid Cage Build With passengers in Mind!

Finally getting some Jeep time, I mean prep. Odyessey battery had been going low last 6 months. Over Christmas time I bench charged it and checked it every day and battery would loose about 0.1 volt each day. Got it replaced thru 4wheel parts . During my summer prep found alternator was hard to turn but charging ok. Time to change. Well new powermaster alternator needed massaging on alternator bracket and timing cover.
Fits good.... But But. I recommend that you not use copper thread paste for engine block ground connection. I got starter working good for few cranks then stopped. Then thought starter took a shit, swap in spare and same thing. Bench test original starter and works fine. Reinstall that starter and still no start. Call it a day. Research and find that copper thread paste is not a good conductor. Best conductor thread paste is graphite 50 by locktite,FYI. Sunday. Clean all thread paste etc and starts fine....back to normal summer trail Prep after this . See you all soon!

I just got my Napa battery replace for free! I bought a battery tender, $40 through Costco. Hope to keep it in good shape for a while. I had been replacing batteries every year or two. I just don't drive the jeep nearly enough

Just found all my old pics from photobucket are back and working? That's awesome. When in Moab in October I was getting water leaking passenger side windshield area. So last few weeks been hunting the leak down. I resealed windshield at roof. Pulled carpet and found driver side leaking. So started hunting for water this weekend. Well I found some coming thru interior fused panel pass thru and Rust spot..Yuck rust hole with water coming in. I will show you on tapatalk. Pics to come

So found water running from hood and into engine compartment. Then travelling over below cowl area. Must of been puddling over by steering column area for years. Also thinking the big hoods vents dont help either. Thinking I want to find a new white hood, does anyone have one? Rerouted water so doesn't come from corner of hood and get into engine compartment. For now cleaning up rusty firewall and repair. Maybe next week. Dang classic jeeps!

Got a few minutes to start my tool box draw slide. Its gonna be about 24 inch wide for tools and 32 inch deep. Should be about 3.5inch-4inch tall to for deep sockets. Will have full 32inch heavy duty slides. Gonna have top to cover all tools so I can pack all my other stuff on top of draw assy. Always had my tools In bags in right quarter panel area. I will now store fluids in quarter panel space. Will be so easy to get my tools out maybe I will even get my tools out to help Toyotas out on the trail..

Last few trips the jeep was sounding a little Rattly. Found out water pump was making all the noise. Slight exhaust leak too, turns out header cracked. Banks power came thru with a warranty header, their warranty is for 5 years. I had header on for 4 years. Intake bead blasted and ports smoothed out, she is running great!

Dude awesome !

I like that Drawer setup man

I'm Jelly of the Drawers. You need to add some tie-down points to the top of the tool drawer though.

PS, Want to build me a set of drawers? hahaha

2020 the year of the stroker. 4.6 stoker parts are ordered from Russ. Will pick them up in 3 weeks. Been wanting a fresh engine for last 3 years

DO you really need a stroker? I ask because I will be replacing my engine this year and keep going back and forth between 4.6 stroker and a 4.0 engine.
What are your thoughts?

Skipper..... my rig is very heavy like 5,000lb with my basic tools and spare parts. Then add my fridge and camp gear its a PiG. So yes I really need about 75-100 more lbs of torque and 60-80 more horsepower. Gonna make the drives to and from the trail much more enjoyable. I want the low end torque! I rarely rev mine past 4k RPM , and really don't want to.

Stroker is fun remember you will need injectors , map adjuster, wideband, OR ecu tuning and a wideband. Plus i went to all mopar sensor and upgraded some cooling system stuff.
