Well it is going to get into the 40's and 50's over the weekend and it is time to replace the O rings in the oil filter neck. This is on a '90 4.0L.

How do I replace them any thing special they leave out of the FSM?
It there anything I should watch out for?
Anything else I should do when I am changing the oil and the O rings?

Thanks in adavance

bolt can sieze...needs a breaker bar of sorts. you prolly don't need the torx bolt, so that's good. lube the new o-rings with fresh oil before putting everything back together. torque the bolt down good, and apply anti-sieze first.

It's a pretty straightforward fix.... the only thing I've heard causing problems is the Torx. (some years use regular hex head, some use Torx)

Clean the bejeesus out of the elbow before replacing and lube the rings

Might as well do an oil change while you're at it.
