pics of cages through the stock dash

Well I can get you some from the engine side I had my dash in when I put them in. Clean shot all the way threw. I remember on the driver side it went threw the ac/heater vent area. I hole sawed threw the dash right into the valance then cut a square hole in the engine compartment then replated it back in once the tube was fitted. Funny thing was I was at a show and I asked a jeep speed guy about it he showed me where he went threw but told me it was dumb and not needed and if he were to do it again he wouldn't go threw the fire wall again I had the holes in that night =-)

Check out Larrythedog's build thread. cage pics start on p-10

The way he has his a-pillar bars are mounted is about what you have to settle for. You can then clearance the dash to fit around the holes His horizontal brace is mounted at dash level. You can either run it a couple inches higher and fit the dash under the bar, or run it a couple inches lower, and hack the plumbing behind the dash to fit around it.

The advantage to running it below the dash is it makes it much easier/stronger to tie into the front structure. Above the dash, you don't have to re-route all the wiring/ducting.
Zoomy97acr has the brace above the dash on his race truck(MJ) and it works really well, but it would be hard to run front bracing down from there. I don't have any good pics of the front cage, but Bajacurt got a pretty good shot showing the brace and down bars through the windshield:

He does have a full stock dash under the bar, and it can be removed/installed.
