ZJ Steering Pump

93 xj, new rebuilt box ( built it my self ) No reman issues. I have a brand new Crown Pump, it was bled correctly but sound like its about explode when the tires are on the ground. Tires off the ground it sounds fine, the question is can a ZJ pump work on an XJ? Unlike the xj pump the zj mount holes are not tapped I just nut & bolt it. I have a ZJ pump and wanted to try it.

Rock Auto shows that a 93 XJ uses the same power steering pump as the same year ZJ. You should be able to make the ZJ pump work.

Actually I think I got it. I used the same mounting plate as on my xj, just ran the bolts all the way through. Pressed on the pulley and tonight I will try it.
