Timing Chain HELP !!

I am rebuilding a used Jeep 4.0 and was told the motor was a 1993....I purchased a replacement timing set which had a 'single' chain.....But when I ripped it apart, the motor had a double chain but I installed the 'single' chain kit in it.....However, I just ran the numbers off of the block and the engine is actually a 1995 model....I beleive the 1995 calls for a double chain......If I use the 'older single chain' design will I screw up the motor?.....Thanks much
