What are y'alls suggestions for getting that bolt torqued to spec? None of my tools for there save my box end wrenches. The bolt I'm putting in is a 12 point 1/2 inch. I could use a gear wrench attached to my torque wrench but I'm concerned about breaking the gear wrench

I use a 3/8" 12 point on my click-type torque wrench overtorquing it a little, it works just fine. A normal 1/2" 12 point is tool tall for the cowling.

You can take a 1/2" 12 point deep and cut it down to length.

I have one which has been modified that way.

Lots of companies sell sockets that are between normal and deep. Give your local SnapOn or Matco dealer a call.
