Heater Core?

K so i need a new Core. I've done other HC's before never a jeep. Haynes says to uncharge the AC. r u kidding me. How long should I expect this all to take. Should I just take it in. I don't know how to charge or discharge the AC. What a pain in the A##.
 
Well equipped shops typically charge ~6 hours of labor for that job. Yes it is an extreme PITA. I'm pretty handy with a wrench and when I looked at the procedure I said "to hell with that" and had it done for me.

it was a pain in the arse. I just took my whole dash out casue i couldnt get the box to fit in right. Took me about 3.5 hrs and i didnt have to drain my a/c cause there was nothing in it:shocked:
