Picked up a motor from Jim. Not only was he easy to deal with and took time to go over everything with me, but he was cool when my truck broke down dumping trans fluid all over his driveway/street and even hooked me up with a free tow to Denver (on Easter Sunday no less).

Thanks again man, I still feel really bad about that. I owe you a case a beer or something.

Glad you got home okay.

Did it end up being the output shaft seal?

No I actually cracked the tailhousing adapter on the back of the transmission. I guess its fairly common on the Allison. Unfortunately the housing alone is about $500 and the whole trans has to come out to replace it.
