242 rebuild speedo no longer works

Hey guys.
when I rebuilt my xfer case the speed sensor broke into two pieces when I touched it. the bolt came apart.
also the gears were horribly chewed.
is there options for replacement aside from junkyard ?

There's replacements I think like 30$. Match the speedo gear to your tire size and axle gear ratio.

No that's not it. What tires do you have, is it stock gears?

Thanks for the info. So looking at it. I may need both pieces if the sensor is no good after being apart
