Where's the Turn Signal Flasher?

need to replace the t. signal flasher on my 97 Cherokee, but I can't find it under the dash. Where's it at? Am I blind, crazy or sane? TIA

I don't have a '97 FSM but I do have a 2000 FSM. On the off chance that they may be the same, here's what it says:

The flasher is a combination unit -- serves both turn indicators and hazard warning. It isn't a normal flasher, it's in a housing shaped like and with contacts similar to a standard relay (square, not round, housing), but totally different internals.

The combination flasher is located in a wire harness connector which is secured to the diagnostics splice block bracket outboard of the steering column opening underneath the instrument panel.

Got that?
