was wondering wht people though on booting there shocks if that was the way to go or if that was a bad idea. i would like not to but was wondering if that was not a good idea. just wondering on what people think.

My bilsteins came with boots so I kept them and have never had a problem. I've also run bilsteins with boots on other trucks, cars, and suvs without any issues.

Depends what you do - if you go through a lot of mud and splash it's probably good to boot but make sure the bottom of the boot is open so as to not trap crud in there against the piston. In NJ I imagine you get a lot of crap on the roads too, so salt and roadspray can be a problem when it sprays on the piston. In drier areas, no boot is better as the wiper on the shock keeps the light stuff off.
