Ive run into a road block while working on my ac. All of the couplings worked just fine, except the one with the expansion valve at the condenser end.
the garter spring just wont move out of the way. I even bought a new line out of frustration since it does move just fine with the tool. Id hate to quit now after spending money on a compressor and condenser.
ive changed o rings, garter springs, oiled o rings and im stumped.
At this point im fed up with dumping time into an AC repair and considering cutting the connectors and buying one of these to just splice it together. Im pretty confident it can work, but have never worked on an AC and dont want to go cutting a new condenser without seeing if im overlooking something.
