Aftermarket rear dome with 3-way switch wiring help

So i bought an RV light after reading about another XJ user using it as a rear dome light. It has two separate LED light boards controlled with a 3-way switch. I need to rewire the 3-way switch. i want:
“Off” = all lights always off
position 1 = led 1 comes on when door/hatch is opened
position 2 = led 2 turns on whether doors/hatch are open or closed

The reading included the diagram below but I’m not clear if it is accurate. I dont know where to ground each LED light or to connect to power from this picture.

Can someone please explain how i wire this correctly? I have the 8 terminal switch in the picture plus 2 leds with + and - leads.

Link to article or copy/paste would help. What brand/part number/model is the light assembly ?

Might be referring to my setup (https://www.naxja.org/forum/showpost.php?p=244138058&postcount=27).

Internal lights are constant power and switched ground. The pink wire provides the constant power (so the lights will work when a door is opened). The yellow wire provides switched ground to the doors and the light switch (open a door, yellow wire is connected to a ground, power from the pink wire goes through the yellow ground). The purple wire w/ yellow stripe provides switched ground from the latch mechanism in the hatch (only activates the cargo lamp and not the forward lamps). Usually there is a button on the cargo lamp to interrupt the purple w/ yellow wire so that you can turn it off when needed.

Wiring of the switch will depend on the switch type. You will have to figure that out yourself.

Off should just interrupt power so nothing will work. Bridge the power wire to the other poles, and let the switch work the ground circuits.

You can add your own ground to the screw post or whatever, if you want it to work regardless of the doors or hatch.

Got it done. I'm new to wiring lights like this and wasn't aware exactly how they worked until you told me it is for grounding. Works perfectly based on the diagram and wiring the positive leads directly.
