Ac compressor bracket noise

That bracket that the ac compressor mounts on is equipped with a badly designed mechanical fan bearing that seems to be PRESSED into the bracket! It chirps and I cant seem to get it out. Does anyone know of a place I can buy a brand new bracket with bearing installed?
Linked a picture from google just in case I am using incorrect terminology

To change the bearing requires removing the fan flange and then pressing the bearing assembly out of the body. Installation is the reverse.

This is the water pump bearing I used, unable at the time to find a known brand of bearing.

Later I found these bearings, they appear to be a genuine NSK bearing.

Your other option is to find a use bracket and hope its bearing is in good shape.

Hmm thanks. I already looked for a bracket as well as stopped in some parts stores. No luck. Odd they chose to press that in that was stupid. Thank you very much for the link squeaks and chirps on vehicles drive me insane!

With a cheap Harbor Freight ball joint press and a gear puller, it took less than a hour to change the bearing. I was happy to find a quick and simple way to do this.

"After in done with my lift I think I am going to try my luck with that bearing replacement."

When my AC bracket pulley went, it left me stranded. Once that pulley seizes it will shred your serpentine belt.

I would suggest fixing that before the lift. :lecture:

Fair. Lift will be on before the bearing gets here but I'll still be waiting on my custom drive shaft so I can do it before then. I know somebody that has the puller
