Most definitely.. I know for a fact as it sits it will not be loaded right.. I am going to build a steel frame for the camper to sit on attaching it to my trailer using the steak holes on the side therefore not modifying the actual trailer. So I am hoping that with that and after building the interior thatíll equal everything out.

Replacing that tool box with one that mounts on the tongue would let you move some of the weight forward.

Awesome. How much did you pick up the camper for?

I know. I plan on removing the tool box completely and figuring that storage out later. This being a Kaufman Deluxe it came with a tongue box already (But is too small for really anything but straps) plus the 14k Jack and the PO moved the spare tire to the front. A combination of all of that will make it tough to just put the box on the tongue but I may work something out.

I paid $700 for it. I know that may seem a little high for a camper shell of this sort but to me it was exactly what I have been looking for. An 8' camper that wasn't a pop up nor for a truck bed. And I haven't been able to find one this small other than tear drops which are very pricey. Plus this one opens to the back so the empty trailer deck now will act as a porch!

Turns out I had the feed and return lines swapped on my orbital.. it kept feeling as if it wasnít bleed still being tough to turn but once I swapped them it was like night and day.. drove around a bit I seem to like it. Will more thank likely have to remount my ram for clearance.. other than that the test fit with the trailer and camper went well.. itís definitely tight but will probably work well.. there is definitely not enough tongue weight, I am hoping that building the camper and such will add the weight I need but weíll find out.. Now time to put down the wrench for a while and pick up a hammer and nail.

You donít have to worry about anyone breaking into the camper when the Jeepís loaded.

Have you tried Sta-Flo in the beadlocks to help them stay sealed up? Works wonders.

No I haven't. Im not too crazy on using sealers in my tires though. Ends up just making a mess down the road.

Just looking at that picture with the jeep and camper on the trailer I had a thought -- depending on how the underside of the trailer is designed it might not be all that hard of a task to move the 2 trailer axles back a foot -- would solve your tongue weight problem

It is a thought.. Iím gonna start with laying the camper out to my liking and seeing where Iím at with tongue and overall weight. Iím trying extremely hard not to purpose build this trailer but if I have to I have to.

Alright as always plans have changed and things a little different.. Camper didnít work out. I got it useable and used it for a trip to Golden Mountain. It towed alright but not how I wanted it to.. Even with 600lbs worth of cinder blocks stuff inside I still couldnít get my weight right.. it didnít tow horrible but not how I wanted. So I have sold it and dropping it off tomorrow. PSC has let me down yet again with another blown up steering pump. I have sent it off and talked to them and seem to worked out something so weíll see how that goes.. trying to get it back before this coming week for a trip windrock. Iím gonna move my reservoir closer to the pump to shorten my feed hose and possibly open my return lines up a little. Try and cut down on any restriction.

Roger. Mess-wise, it's easy: hose and 2-3 minutes is all you need to remove. It's laundry starch, so it's designed to wash right out.

Got my new pump in yesterday. Moved my reservoir up some and plan to buy a heat sink style cooler soon.. all of this should solve my problems... ďshouldĒ. Also planning to rebuild the links sometime soon.. I bought an ironman4x4 crossmember for my Comanche a while back but have decided not to build links for it and just buy an off the shelf long arm kit and use that crossmember which is better set up for the Cherokee. Which will allow me to possibly link the rear later on a little easier.
