water pump replacement
Just did a water pump on the 5.7 Hemi.
Filled the radiator with coolant, turned on the heat to the lowest setting and fired the truck up. Rather than the coolant getting sucked in to the system, it started overflowing the fill hole. I let it run for about 5 minutes and the temp guage on the dash never moved off of C and the thermostat never opened. There is no active leaks under the truck other than where the radiator fill is, and I have that draining into a catch pan so that I can identify other leaks. Did I maybe not let it run enough? |
