replacement shock recommendations

I've had my RE lift installed for about a year now. I purchased the kit from Groupbuy and with the purchase I received 4 'free' RE Twin Tube shocks. They were stiff and harsh in the beginning, until the oil leaked out of both the rears now they are stiff, harsh and noisy. 10 months and 6000 miles.

I really don't want to spend a ton of money on shocks right now (I'm in the middle of a front diff swap), but these shocks need to go. I'd like to stay in the 50-65 dollar each range, but I don't want to replace them in another 6000 miles. I use my rig mainly as a DD and to tow my small ATV trailer.

I'd appreciate your feedback on what I've found and any other brand you can recommend.

Doetsch 3000 $145.95 (4)

I am running the skyjacker nitro 8000 and love them. They are alittle stiff but ride very nice you could bump down to the 7000 and its not a nitrogen charged shock and not as stiff.

Monroe's are buy three get the fourth free. At least it's a mail in rebate. This is going on at Advanced Auto parts here. I dont know if monroes are big where you are or if you even have a Adv. Auto Parts.

I got the sensatrack's for $10 more than the LT's

just my $.02

EDIT: And that's lifetime replacement. I just did mine and they make a HUGE difference

Go with the DT3000 if you want a little comfort, i run the DT 8000 Pre-Runners and they are a little stiffer, but in the rough stuff at speed, they just suck up the bumps with no noticable fade. The customer service is excellent from DT as well. -B
