URGENT LEGISLATIVE ALERT
New York Introduces Bill to Ban the Use of Grille/Brush Guards

A bill (A.B. 10116) has been introduced in the New York Legislature to prohibit the public road use of motor vehicles equipped with a grille or brush guard. The bill has been referred to the Assembly Transportation Committee for consideration and a vote.

We Urge You to Contact Members of the New York Assembly Transportation Committee (List Below) Immediately to Request Their Opposition to A.B. 10116.

* A.B. 10116 relies on unsubstantiated claims that these grille guards create the potential of greater harm to other vehicles in the event of a collision.

* A.B. 10116 relies on unsubstantiated claims that grille guards obstruct airbag sensors, rendering the airbags useless in an accident.

* A.B. 10116 would require owners of vehicles currently equipped with grille guards (including those purchased with this equipment from a dealership) to remove these guards.

DON’T DELAY! Please contact members of the New York Assembly Transportation Committee immediately by phone or e-mail to request their opposition to this bill.

Please e-mail a copy of your letter to [email protected]. Thank you for your assistance.

I hope this is the right place for this post. Anyways, I've already sent off a letter. I hope others will too. This is not good news. If it passes in NY, other states may try to pass it too.

Thats crap. I wonder who came up with this brain storm.I am so glad that I have gotten out of that state.
Oh and what club are you talking about? Mudnuts? Used to have a buddy in a couple of clubs up there.

glad you got outa the state? (so am i actually - upstate ny was beatiful though...) I think its best we stop that law from being passed in that state before it does spread! I think I'll be pretty safe here in AZ, but with NYs passing could come Cali and then god knows what else....

you guys should just move to florida and do whatever you want to you vehicle and not have to worry about cops

where do you think New Yorkers go in the winter?

You realize that it would mean all police cars with bars on the front end would have to have them removed as well? They aren't exempt from the laws (though some think they are) You think cops will go for that?
