Well after doing the Lockwood/miller jeep trail a few days ago I have decided it's time to get a diff guard for my D30, I'm not looking to spend over $120 so what's the best route for that amount of money?
I want these when I have the money.

It works fine, but living in Michigan I don't have to worry about the weight of my XJ coming down on it against a rock either. There are better options, sure, but this is cheap insurance.
Another Vote for the Ruff Stuff Specialties Differential Cover, It is bullet Proof, And Dan is really great to work with. I have had mine on now for about a year and it takes some abuse. He runs specials from time to time, and you get a discount if your a red member I believe. I have one on my 30 and on my 8.25. They are 3/8" steel, Bolt it on and forget it.

The cover will help prevent the center chunk from flexing under heavy load. They are like an open box without a lid. With the counter sunk holes it will help prevent the deflection of the chunk.
