Corral Canyon

We will leave the Mobil Station off Greenfield Drive in El Cajon at
8:00 a.m., Saturday morning, driving east on I-8 to the Buckman
Springs Rd. After meeting and airing down at 4 Corners, we will
follow the road to Bobcat Meadows and start the day by warming up on
Sidewinder Trail. I have only done this trail as a passenger so am
anxious to try it in my FJ40. Tim has run Sidewinder numerous times
and will lead this part of the day.Tow points front and rear are manditory

Sidewinder trail is relatively easy. We would rate it a 2+ to 3.
There are 2 or 3 challenging areas for vehicles with open
differentials but these can be done without lockers if the driver
uses care and uses a spotter. The trail will be a challenge for
novice drivers but novices are welcome. We recommend 31" tires at a
minimum. As always there is a potential for paint and body
damage. If you have questions about your vehicles ability to
negotiate this trail, please call either Tim Slaby at (619)698-9795
or myself at (858) 775-4008.

We will plan on breaking for lunch at the end of Sidewinder and then
divide the rigs into 2 groups. Those that want to make a day out of
it, but don't want to attempt Bronco Peak, will take the trail to
the Los Pinos Fire Lookout. It is a fairly easy, senic trail with
some wonderful views and history at the end. We will provide
directions to the lookout.

Those that want to tackle a "black" run will depart for the Bronco
Peak Trail. I did this trail last year and what should have been a
two or three hour run turned into an all day event, due to some rigs
not having the proper equipment. The Bronco Peak run will require
front and rear lockers, 33" or larger tires, plus the normal
Justruns required equipment. This trail will challenge even the
best drivers and rigs. Tow points front and rear are manditory.
The chance of damage to your rig is high on this trail. For those
who would like to be a passenger on the Bronco Peak run, there will
hopefully be seats available in other rigs and your rig can be left
at 4 Corners.

It should be a great day! Please email or call Tim or myself if you
have any questions.
