my 87 had 215k miles and i dont think the engine has ever been rebuilt cuz the guy i got it from never said it was and if i were selling a car, i would say if anythign has been rebuilt. but.....i was wondering if it is about time for a rebuild, it runs good but sounds like walking through sloppy joes. is there anything minor i could do just to help it along, keep it strong? thanks in advance.

Mine has never been rebuilt, it has 261k on it, still runs good **knock on wood**. As long as it has been maintanenced regularly, it should be ok for a few thousand more, unless you are noticing problems now. Run some seafoam cleaner through it, gas and oil. It will help clean some of the inside.

ya, i am going to get the tps and steering gearbox replaced on tuesday/wednesday so then i will find out how good my engine is running. i thought it was crap till someone told me it might be my tranny. im still learning a lot about cars.
