Anyone ever seen this (Zig Zag)?

Care to elaborate?

I've seen those in action and I know the guy who runs Nth Degree. He's a former Jeep suspension engineer and knows thing or two about suspensions. Having said that, I think, ZZ is not for hardcore wheelers, but mild trail runners desiring extra flex in the rear.

Just say no to ZIG ZIG!!!!!!!!!

yeah, I think the concept is cool. I would be timid to push em hard. I would like to see em in action.

function aside, here's the part I don't get..

this thing replaces shackles, so to speak... but then you can lock it in for road use..

does that mean it can't slide forward-backward, too?

That would mean fixed-eye at either end of the spring, on road.

How's that work?

yes, it slides back and forward. locking it just fixes the distance between spring eye and upper shackle mount, preventing the unloading.
