Looking to see what this combo looks like, riding at 3" rn with 30's. I plan on going with that combo and trimming fenders to the first lip. Thanks - Ghost. :spin1:

I tried to post a picture of mine but STILL not able to post attachments as a Member. Only from my phone via TapATalk, not from a regular camera on the laptop.

Edit: Workaround. Added a picture of mine to my "Albums" so if you click my Profile you should be able to find it.

Trimmed fenders with Rusty's steel fenders.

Full disclosure: I have not yet tuned my bumpstops for flexed clearance but I see no reason to think there will be rubbage.

The front can fit damn near any size tire with little to no lift. The rear not so much.
Mines at 3" minus 33x12.5. This king my next set will be 35 10.5 boggers they have some deep tread that is almost the same width as 12.5 tires

My 31s tucked perfect up front trimmed to the first lip. Moved up to 35s and did the standard cut and fold rear and trimmed the front to the moon.

I've also got a 4.5 RC lift with 33x12.5x15 on my 96. I originally didn't cut and it rubbed like mad. Cut with new flares and I have a better turn radius than stock.

Thanks.

I'm gonna fight the urge to go 35s for good looks, at least until I test fit/drive a loaner set on the trail and get lots more wear outta the 33s.

Question: I neglected to take a photo of how close the tire was to the inner fender pinch weld, like 1/8" at this compression. I'm thinking 35s might make contact. Is cut and fold something that's done, like the pinch weld fold when trimming fenders?

I got a 5.5 inch lift, 33x 12.5 tires. I had to do very little fender cutting, all cutting is below the stock flares. of course bump stops adjusted accordingly.

if you cut a lot from the fenders, you can put big tires on little lift, or get away with lots of bump stop length.

question is how much up travel is desired?

This is the pinch weld that I'm concerned with so close at squish. I know I can bumpstops to keep it clear but had some shock travel remaining the day I flexed it. Will do it again and take more time and measurements.

The previous owner of my Jeep cut that and folded it in. Never been a problem with 33x12.5s

You’ll rub on the lower control arm before you rub the pinch weld.[/QUO

"1/8" at this compression"
And still had shock left. I'll do it again and spend more inspection/photo time.

That was the question.. thanks.

33 x 10.5 are extremely close, at least on one side.
