well I grenaded something in my t-box before KOH and now need tyo figure out what route I should go in fixing it. 89 XJ with 215k, original 231 with SYE, sounded like a jackhammer under the Jeep but in less then a mile from the house there was a pop and no noise. I'm guessing it's a chain skipping.
So do I replace it with a junkyard 231, 241OR, or go big and do an atlas? 4:1 would be super nice but with the 241 being bigger then the 231 I don't know if I can shove it up as high as the 231 sits now, I have flat belly.
231 would be ~200 bucks, switch out the SYE to the new case.
241 would be ~1k, with 4:1 and stronger guts
Atlas ~1.5-1.8k used. Obvious benefits.
Are there dimensions for the 241OR somewhere? What says ye?
