Switching from plastic bumpers to OEM steel. Need any unique parts?

So I am aiming to replace the plastic color matched bumpers that came with my XJ as I am much more a fan of the chrome bumpers I grew up with.

I would like to also install the black plastic bumper guards (they sit 1-foot or so in from each end of the bumper), but my stock rear does not have these.

Will I need any special hardware or pieces or is it a direct swap?

'91 XJ.

Thanks!

As far as I know, the OEM bumpers on any XJ are steel, either painted or chromed, and the only plastic was the endcaps and the push pads you are talking about.

You should be able to use the OEM bumpers off any 84-96 model, shouldn't be any difference in how they bolt up or go together. To find one with the push pads for the rear I'd say look in the boneyards, or check out Quadratec.
