New Battery Tray
Well my stock plastic battery tray was starting to give up the ghost. It had a crack going down one of the tabs that hold the battery down.
To solve my probem I made a new one out of 2"x2" 1/8" angle iron. Heres a LINK to my Yahoo album so you can check it out. I basically built it around a Exide battery which is similar to a Red Top Optima. Any thoughts on the welds? I was just doing this whole project to get some practice welding as well. It was done using a Mllermatic 135. Thanks. -Mike |

Re: New Battery Tray
Yur welds look decent. Could maybe use a little better penetration but that shouldnt be a concern with this project.
