96 Propeller Shaft Seal

Hello all!

Will this fit a 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ? (Pic below).
The part number listed in the service manual is 83502812 but I can not find this anywhere.

Are the shaft diameters different between 1996 and 97 Jeep XJs?

I couldn't find anything definitive either. Being a 1996, it's possible they used the older version or the newer version.

It fits.
I bought one and got it to fit.
Takes a bit and looks like it’s not going to but it does fit and the seal is intact.

I remember they are a bugger to get on. You have to slide it up over the splines first, then slip the shaft together and push or hammer the cap down in place.
