How tight should I torque the diff cover bolts D30 front 8.25 rear?
Also I have heard to apply a bead of silicone hand tighten then wait a little while then torque but the silicone I bought says just torque it and be done is there any advantage to one or the other.

I did both of mine 2 days ago. I only used the RTV sealer.
I applied a small bead on the innerside of the bolts and the outer. Then tightend teh bolts until they were tight no need to over tighten is like silicone it'll compress adn seal it's self. no leaks on mine.

but if you're really worried it's 35lbs in a criss cross pattern
