getting conflicting local info and understand vaguely that the SYE flange is not available for my NP228 case and wanted to know if or what I might need to do to use a 1970's series Ford Bronco single-cardan driveshaft with an older NP228 transfer case-Have the case apart now and was wondering where I should start,..cut-off some portion of the output shaft..drill + tap ? Specifically how can these two be efficiently mated together-Please spare no details.
