My only problem with the article is that he never addressed why the traces burned up. That does not happen without a problem. I you pull the ecu and find a burned up trace, get out the manual and find out where that wire goes. You either have a shorted component or a shorted wire. It takes 10's of amps to burn up a trace. I've seen burned up traces on the injector traces due to a shorted power transistor on the ECU. Don't know what happened first, the burned up/shorted injector or the burned up transistor. Either way I replaced both.
