Hey everyone I am a college student in North Central MO and i am looking for some fun places to take the XJ (RE 3.5" full leafs, 31x10.5 bfg mt's). Does anyone know of some good areas north of columbia but still around the middle of the state? Any State land off hwy 11 or 63? Got a bad itch and cant find anything but cornfields and private property. Please help. Thanks

I am in Kirksville. Trying to find something within and hour hour and a half. Time is hard to find so would like to be able to get there and get some jeepin in before i have to go for another trip back.

I don't know of any place that close to Kirksville, but Fulton is under two hours and Rockport is within three hours. Sorry, that's all I got.

I've been to Rockport, but what is in Fulton?

BTW, DB, I'll be at the MWJT meeting tonight so we can finally meet.

What about FInger Lake State Park? Someone mentioned to me that there is some stuff to do there... is that true cause i havent been able to find out anything besides that you can ride atv's. Thanks for the help

if you want to make the jaunt out to Kansas - Tuttle Creek ORV is located in Randolph, Kansas - 2 hrs south of Lincoln, NE - ill guess 1.5hrs from kansas city....

The name of the place in Fulton is Potawatomi. I prefer it over Rockport, but don't get there as much as I'd like.

I can't make the meeting tonight, home on the couch with whatever bug everyone in St. Louis seems to have or had.

I've never been to Finger Lake's, but I'm about 99.9% sure it's restricted to quads and dirt bikes.

what about Mark Twain National Forest? I know they are working on getting some trails opened up out there, any progress that can be noted?

Maybe as early as this summer. There's heavy opposition, but things are looking up after the most recent open house at Powder Valley, other then a few Jeeps being vandalized.

There is a run down at Sayersbrook on March 13th, but that's a pretty good drive from you.
