yesterday wipers....today no wipers

My windshield wipers decided not to work today. They were fine yesterday. Now they won't even turn on. What can I check to figure out what's going on with these wipers? I need to drive the jeep today! eeek....

Then check for power to the wiper motor. Circuit breaker #30 (fuse box inside cabin)sends the current to the switch and then the motor.

Also try wiggling and pressing the end of your multifunction switch stalk, the resistive element for my intermittent wipers on my 96 went out and gave me similar symptoms. If it works when you wiggle/press it, or put it in high speed only, or works when you hit the washer sprayer button, you need a new multifunction switch.

They are working now. I just restarted the jeep and they worked. I have no idea why they didn't work on the initial start up.

They will quit again. The circuit breaker may have reset itself.

If it is the circuit breaker you may want to pick up a spare, or it will get you at the most inconvenient time.
