Copper/brass heater coil?

Does anybody make one for a 2000? I can't find any signs of a leak, but I can smell the anti-freeze!

Re: Copper/brass heater coil?

Rock Auto has three choices.
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/j...ater+core,6864
Quality unknown.

Both the heater cores and evaporators are stock in both my 01 and 97.
Someday i'm to have to face the music and replace them.
If you are going to replace the heater core, it might be a good time to change the A/C evaporator, while the dash is opened up.

Re: Copper/brass heater coil?

I bought an APDI/PRO when I replaced the heater core in my 91. It showed as copper on rockauto but was aluminum in the box. I needed to install it so I did, been working fine.

Re: Copper/brass heater coil?

You could copper/brass heater cores in early 2016 but by late 2017 when I looked again it I only saw aluminum. Comparing the current offerings the biggest difference seemed to be if they came with the anti-rattle foam wrapped around them or not.
