Parting out 1999 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) Sport 4-door (Grand Rapids-ish, Michigan)

I bought, and will be picking up tonight, a 1999 XJ Sport parts vehicle. It's a 4.0L/auto 4WD vehicle with 233K on the ticker. Located just north of Grand Rapids in Cedar Springs, Michigan (49319).

I'm not sure if it's considered "bad form" to link to another forum, but the inability to update posts here on NAXJA

makes it really difficult to maintain a current parts status. Therefore, I have one thread on GreatLakes4x4 that I will update (original post) to reflect what has sold, and what is still available. The only parts I intend on keeping are the hood, driver fender, and tail lights.

If you're interested in parts, just be reasonable on timing for me pulling them. I have a full-time job where I work a lot of hours (and also have two daughter who I love to spend time with), so I can usually get things addressed/pulled within 2-4 days (may be more for bigger parts). I also don't have the time to get shipping quotes for everyone on the planet, so take a guess at the dimensions/weight of the item(s) you're interested in, and feel free to get your own quote on usps.com. I'm willing to ship most small-medium sized parts on your dime.

Hi gents. I pulled the tweeters tonight, and they seem to test out just fine. In the vehicle, the driver side worked, but the passenger tweeter & door speaker didn't work. It was a vehicle wiring short, apparently. I tested them on my home stereo, and both tweeters work fine.

That being said, I'll probably use them for my daughters project. HOWEVER, I'm not locked into it. Shout out an offer for the fog light switch & tweeter combo, and we'll go from there.

AeroSync - I PMd you back. I have a sale pending on the overhead console as of late last night. You're 2nd in line if it should happen to fall through (pretty doubtful, though, as I have done business with the buyer before, and he's a good guy).

That's very cool. I typed this late in the evening, and didn't meant to imply that it would turn into a bidding war. In fact, I'd like to actually keep them. I agree that XJosh95 has first shot at it.

I have people asking about them on other forums, as well (but Josh was first in line). They're apparently a hot little item.

The latch works, but is going with the center console (sorry).

I think that for no more than I'd get for them, I'll just hold on to the tweeters & fog lamp switch (I'll probably use them on one of our projects). If I sold them, I'd probably kick myself a couple months down the road.

The 0630 head is worth the purchase just to replace your crappy, crack-prone 0331 head. :cheers:

The one that's riveted in the roof support? Yes, it's still in the vehicle. I just texted the guy who bought the OHC to confirm he doesn't need it.

Both axles are now sold, along with lots of other little parts. Still have little stuff available, including the desirable '99 intake, injectors, etc.

I just drug home a wrecked 2000 XJ Limited, too. I may be listing some parts from that soon.
