It seems that if 02 sensors are bad on a '00 then the check engine light should come on. Well, I dont have a check engine light, went to have codes pulled but there are none to be pulled but I cant think of any other explanation for the near sudden drop in mileage. I know there is the chance it could be a bad tank of gas but this has been going on for roughly a month now. I went from about 20 hwy to about 15 hwy.

I guess what Im asking is could O2 sensors die on an '00 without throwing a code?

I know in my area, the gasoline is changed to the reformulated winter blend. My mileage always drops at least a couple mpg. My 93 Dodge Shadow would go from 23 mpg to 20mpg also.
