I pulled my rear driveshaft out the other day and no oil spilled out of the transfer case. I was under the impression that if the rear slip yoke fell out, you would lose most/all of your transfer case fluid. I haven't had any time to check the fluid level in the case, so I figured I would post here.

I'm afraid that it is low on oil because nothing poured out. Am I going crazy or should I be worried?

I was on flat ground fwiw.

Please note you have a 96,,, the TC was changed that year to a sealed unit...the yoke does NOT go into the TC ,it only rides on the exposed part of the output shaft.
Remove the fill(top ) plug on the TC to check fluid level.
