As much as I dont' like seeing a nice M416 cut up I must say that tailgate matches up nicely, particularly the round tube on top.

It was getting harder and harder to throw stuff in the back after I did the spring over. I carry around a generator sometimes and it was a bear trying to clear the tub by myself.
The CJ tailgates are a perfect match and allot sturdier then just cutting out the back and making a tailgate out of it.

I was able to get a little bit more done on the trailer today. My friend Eddie at Ground Pounder Fab was able to fabricate some braces out of some old angle iron I had for the tailgate chains. He does excellent work and is a good guy. I welded them on when I got home.
